As more and more people receive their fancy new Intel Macs, there are bound to be more great freeware apps coming out. iRed Lite is a great example of this.
iRed Lite lets you use your Apple Remote to control other applications on your Mac. It doesn't replace Front Row, but you can toggle back and forth between the two applications by holding down the Menu button.
Granted, this remote will work with iTunes, Quicktime, etc, out of the box, but the nice thing about this iRed Lite is that there is a nice development area for you to add functionality to other apps as well. I can't wait to see what people come up with!!
